Women’s Day

Reverend Dr. Robin E. Henderson, a native of Gary, Indiana, is an Itinerant Elder
in the African Methodist Episcopal Church who has been in ministry since
preaching her initial sermon almost 30 years ago in the 4th Episcopal District of
the AME Church. Her work in ministry has focused on youth development,
Christian education, leadership training, and women’s empowerment. She has
served in various ministry roles, including interim pastor of St. James AME
Church in Memphis, TN; Associate Minister at Bethel AME Church in Kansas
City; and, now, proudly serves as Pastor of Grant Chapel AME Church in Kansas
City, Kansas.

Professionally, Rev. Dr. Henderson has over 30 years of experience in education
and currently serves as Chief Program Officer for SchoolSmart KC, supporting
student growth and school success across Kansas City. She holds degrees from
Butler University, Indiana University, and Ball State University.

She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and is
engaged in civic and community leadership through board service and advisory
roles with several education-focused organizations across Kansas City.
Pastor Robin, as the members of Grant affectionately call her, is committed to
living each day faithfully and unafraid in service to the Lord.
